One of my favorite hot sauces, I can use this sauce with almost anything. While it isn’t the hottest thing out there, it is one of the best sauces in the world. If you have never tried this get a bottle or two (or more).

For the person that said this hot sauce is 5,700 Scoville. If you go to their website it clearly mentions the green is 8900 and this one is almost 12,000 ( 11,600 to be precise )

I love this hot sauce, available almost at any mexican place but lasts only 4 days with me. I don’t like it for it’s hotness, i just love the wonderful flavor it has and then the small burning effect on your tongue later. I put around more than a teaspoon full per bite on a burrito. Real Good Stuff !

This is simply the tastiest hot sauce I’ve ever had! And I’ve had alot. The perfect blend of heat and taste. Not for the faint of heart. Nowadays, its hard to eat a Mexican meal without a bottle of this stuff at the ready! My only complaint is that I can’t find it at any of my local stores!

This sauce is really good. The heat level is alright, not overwhelming but decent. The taste is really good though, and this bottle is really cheap. Recommended!

This is my favorite sauce in the world. I first tried the red sauce and it was pretty good, just not hot enough for me. So when I stumbled across a bottle of

This widely-available Mexican hab sauce tastes phenomenal and won’t pick your wallet. The small bottle packs considerable heat. A great transition sauce into the medium-hot category but first get comfy with their red and green versions which also combine heat with authentic flavor. An award-winner from the epicenter of pepper worship

I love this sauce. It’s not the hottest there is but it is very hot and excellent taste. That and in N. California most of the Albertsons carry this for 1.49. Way cheaper than this place.

I started off by just placing a bit on the end of a toothpick, and though it was high on the Scoville scale. I contact a firm on the internet and they said it was around 5,700 Scoville units. After reading some of the hotter products in Firegirl.com, I trained myself to place a couple drops with seed and lumps on a teaspoon. Now I enjoy the taste over the heat. Anyone who ventures into the hotter stuff should learn to swish a teaspoon in their mouth without blinking an eye. The Source is 12,500 hotter than this on the Scoville, and I recommend only a lining of XXX on a toothpick for newcomers to hot sauces. Don’t joke with extracts. Wear latex gloves and goggles and be ready to down a half gallon of ice-cream for starters. -Alex

Very Unique, finaly a hot sauce let alone a habanero hot sauce that isnt bombarded with vinigar!!! This stuff has no vinigar, nothin but pure habanero flaver with a few other sidline flavers such as tomato etc… As for the heat, it has a strong burn but not overwhelming, for me at least, but for most people Beware!

I put a little of this sauce on a burrito. Great flavor and very hot!

Very hot for most people. Flavor is simple and nothing to get excited about but it does have some flavor, as opposed to many sauces that just push heat. Want this heat with better but still simple, straightforward uncomplex flavor? Then try Doc’s Special Jamacian Hell Fire.

I’ve been searching for the perfect habanero sauce for quite some time. My search ended here. Wonderful flavor and it is hot! Not for the “gilry man”

If I could only have one hot sauce for the rest of my life, this would be it. The simple habanero flavor and the heat level are perfect. I hate the bitterness and blind heat of “pepper extract” sauces, and the vinegar overload of the milder sauces… this has none of that. It’s not for beginners, but it won’t kill you either. THIS IS PERFECTION

Very tasty for a sauce of its heat level. I may be biased, as I’ve always liked El Yucateco hot sauces. I would definitely include a bottle in every order I purchase.

My favorite hot sauce. This is it. Love the natural, fresh habanero flavor. I honestly can’t tell how hot this stuff is, but it must be damned hot, because I really don’t feel much of anything. Not to get too metaphysical, but whenever I try this sauce, I get a vague kind of “background-burning” sensation, almost like someone else’s house in the neighborhood is on fire. Then I get the sweats. I almost get the sense that someone ELSE is trying to get through the pain, like an out-of-body experience. Strong sense of dissociation. I think this sauce instantly shorts out all all the pain receptors in my skull, and triggers massive amounts of endorphins to the rescue. Perhaps there should be El Yucateco XXXtra Hot Habanero support groups, to help me get through my next encounter with it.

I live in Yucatan where habanero chile is from, and I can tell you it is the hottest of the mexican ones in the scale! This sauce is one of the hottest too and the best part of this pepper is that it makes no damage to your stomach so you won?t find yourself rushing to the bathroom after having it. ;-)

The REAL thing; a VERY hot, tasty sauce that doesn’t come with a B***S*** marketing name or price: it doesn’t need to. Enjoy . . . with due care, though do insist that “that guy to whom nothing is ever hot/spicy enough” have a teaspoon full. Last you’ll see of him for a while.

I came across this sauce in Denver, while eating tamales at a sidewalk vendor’s cart. It is VERY HOT (notice I didn’t say too hot!), and doesn’t have the vinegary taste that many hot sauces do; all you taste is the fresh taste of habanero peppers. I put a sizable dollop on the side of my paper plate and dipped a corner of tamale in, and found myself gasping for air! The lovely, chlorophylly (is that a word?) taste of the sauce is worth it though! I bought two bottles to take home with me, and I use it on tacos, rice and beans, anything Mexican or Latin American…it’s fantastic!!

Hot and flavorful, very good on tacos, pizza, etc. Must take care not to go overboard or heat overtakes flavor.

One of my favorites. One of the hottest pepper-only(not artificial Capsaicin spiked) sauces that I have. I detest the chemical fake Capsaicin taste anyway. The other review saying not hot is nonsense. Enjoy

I like El Yucateco’s green habanero sauce a lot and this one packs even more heat. Also it doesn’t have that wierd green color that turns some people off. I just ate a bowl of chili with a liberal amount of this sauce and I’m dripping with sweat.

Alex, your numbers are a little off. This sauce rates at 11,600 per elyucatecos website. The original red is 5790. Also The Source is 1,250 x’s as hot as the original red, not 12,500. Which makes it about 600 times hotter than this one. This is a very hot sauce, but if you can only handle a bit on a toothpick you have very sensitive heat receptors and should stick with Jalpeno sauces that rate around 500-2000 scv.

Best value/taste combo out there. Fantastic with your morning eggs! Mix it up with this one morning and then Rooster Sauce and/or Tabasco…Heavenly!

Great sauce — I love the flavor, but being used to Blair’s sauces I don’t think this sauce is that hot. But maybe for those less tolerant of spiciness it would pack a pretty good kick. If you look around you can find it at supermarkets, but I haven’t seen it much cheaper than on this site.
