My wife was in Peru for 18 months and could not find hot sauce like they have down there. She likes the little hot peppers. We saw this at a home show and she tried it. She fell in love with it. I like it as well.
I use a lot of this. I like the black pepper addition and the heat seems to fire in a different place in the mouth. Good delay, medium heat full flavor. I like it as a steak sauce
Well, I am no chillihead, and while reading this I decided to wander down to the fridge and take a taste of my bottle of Scorned Woman. Not too hot on any scale, but the vinegar was what really put me off. The vinegar content, in my opinion, is far too high and destroys the otherwise pleasant taste of this sauce.
IT WAS A DARK AND STORMY NIGHT. JONATHAN CHAVES, A MILD-MANNERED CHINESE LITERATURE PROFESSOR OF 61, WAS SEATED BEFORE THE TELEVISION, WATCHING IN DISMAY AS PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES GEORGE W. BUSH AND JOHN KERRY REPEATED AD INFINITUM FORMULAIC SOUND-BITES FULL OF SOUND AND FURY YET SIGNIFYING NOTHING. TO OFFSET HIS DEEP-ROOTED DEPRESSION, CHAVES DRAGGED HIS SORRY ASS OVER TO THE REFRIGERATOR, FISHED OUT A HYDROPONICALLY GROWN ENGLISH CUCUMBER, SLICED IT INTO SOME THIRTY-FIVE THIN SLICES, CRACKED OPEN FOR THE FIRST TIME A BOTTLE OF SCORNED WOMAN HOT SAUCE RECENTLY PURCHASED AT NORTH CAROLINA’S LEGENDARY TRY MY NUTS EMPORIUM, AND GINGERLY POURED SOME ALL OVER THE CUCUMBER SLICES, HOPING THUS TO PREPARE A SPICY CUCUMBER SNACK INSPIRED BY THE FABLED CUISINES OF CHINA AND THAILAND. HE POURED HIMSELF ANOTHER GLASS OF CABERNET SAUVIGNON, AND CARRIED HIS TREASURES BACK TO THE TV COUCH, EASING HIS BOTTOM GENTLY BACK INTO ITS ESTABLISHED SINK HOLE. AND THEN, AFTER SIPPING SOME RED WINE, HE TOOK A SLICE OF THE CUCUMBER, INSERTED IT INTO HIS MOUTH, CHEWED AND SWALLOWED. WITH THE VERY FIRST MOVEMENT OF HIS JAWS CHAVES FELT HIS HEAD THROB AND SEEMINGLY EXPAND, AS SIMULTANEOUSLY HIS EYEBALLS TEARED UP AND BULGED FROM THEIR SOCKETS, HIS NOSE TINGLED AS IF INHALING INDUSTRIAL-STRENGTH PEPPER SPRAY, AND NOW, YES, HIS ENTIRE BODY BEGIN TO VIBRATE AS IF PREPARING TO BE TRANSPORTED TO ANOTHER DIMENSION OF TIME AND SPACE. BURNING FILAMENTS OF PAIN SHOT ACROSS HIS LIPS AND THE SURFACE OF HIS PULSATING TONGUE. ACTUAL WAVELETS OF SMOKE EMERGED FROM HIS NOSTRILS AND EARS AND EXPANDED LAZILY THROUGHOUT THE ROOM, OBSCURING THE TV SCREEN AND MAKING BUSH AND KERRY APPEAR TO BE DEMONS GRINNING FROM THE PITS OF HELL. . . . .
Heh this stuff is great. The first time I tried it, I sat awhile chewing it, it was HOT but I wasen’t running for cover or anything.
Then the adrenaline rush hit me, woo! My vision went black and white, my head felt like it just went into a vice and the wall seemed like it was 5 miles away. Came too with my dad smileing at me cause I looked like I was in shock, but I loved the taste so I had more anyways ;P
Thou the initial shock has only happened once, this stuff goes great on steaks and in cheese mix for nacho’s. I’ve bought a uncountable number of bottles of this product, and I fully give it two thumbs up!
Pretty good flavor, but the vinegar is a little too strong for my taste.
If you are used to grocery store hot sauce, you will find this one will be pretty hot — but this one’s certainly not for real pepperheads (unless they love vinegar as well).
Searching for this stuff on the web found me Firegirl, and for that I am grateful –but, since you’re already here, you might want to try something a little hotter as well (I’d recommend Spontaneous Combustion).
Beautiful bottle and excellent branding it has. This would be great as the hottest option in a mild-to-medium gift box.
One of my favorite hot sauces so far. Not too hot in my opinion, but it still has a little bit of a bite and so much flavor that it can save most dishes from mediocrity. Recommended.
I bought my first bottle of this in January, it’s May now and I’m on my 4th bottle! I love this stuff. It’s especially good in soups and it’s a great addition to my homemade beef jerky marinade
This is positively the best tasting sauce I have. It has a smoky flavor, but not the tomatoe flavor that most bbq sauces would have.
It’s too thick to be used in small quantities, but that’s not a problem, because it’s just hot enough to put some power behind the flavor. Don’t think it’s weak, though. It’s still mean enough to make you sweat.
In my opinion, this is the perfect hot sauce. It will I’ll probably go through several bottles of it before finishing off one bottle of anything else!
I’ve tried, and use, many hot sauces. This is the worst tasting ever. I went back and retried it several times but just kept confirming my first impression
Not the hottest sauce in my collection, but definitely the tastiest. Would rate this as a 6 at most, but it still has descent heat. One of my favorites.
Absolute Heaven, couldnt make my award winning chili without it! Makes even the most boring burgers wake up and take notice. Note to veggies: Mix this with your fav. tofu burger mix! YUM!!
Excellent. One of my favorites! Very tasty! Tastier than Spontaneous Combustion with lots of fire! I use Scorned Woman on everything. Am ordering second bottle. Another of my favorites is Dead Heat.
Scorned Woman Hot Sauce is the only hot sauce anyone should use in Bloody Mary preparation. Accept no substitution; you haven’t had the penultimate Bloody Mary, if you haven’t tried one with Scorned Woman!
Gives the taste of the habanero without the kick in the pants hot. An enjoyable hot sauce for those that like the habanero flavor. Hot if used as a dipping sauce. Medium if used as a condiment. I am from Texas so you folks from the north would probably think this is very hot.
It’s like trying to leave a woman because you are scarred of what she can do to you … but you can’t because you love the way she sets you on fire. The best hot sauce I have come across thus far. Store bought brands can touch her.

Delicious and spicy with a lemony-pepper heat. Bold black pepper taste with a citrus like tang also. Try it and you’ll love it!

Went to Virgils BBQ in Times square NY. I scanned the table for the Hot sauce selection and was very disappointed. I then asked my waiter for some

Great Flavor, a little smokey flavored which is nice. Not to hot as to be overbearing, and can add a nice spicy kick to any lame dish.
