This is absolutely the best hot sauce I have ever tasted. After trying this I want no other.

A very good sauce, try on hard boiled eggs (or any other hot sauce for that matter).

We found this wonderfulsauce while visiting myrtle beach, sc. Me being a “HOT HEAD” and all we stopped by the st. peppers establishment at “Boardwalk at the Beach”. I taste tested many sauces before purchasing this particular one, and fell “in-love” immediately! I purchased one bottle and should of purchased a case because it lasted only 1 week in my household! I finally found the sauce of my “DREAMS!” THANK YOU!!

  5. and I've tasted quite a few.

I can’t get this sauce in the UK, which is disastrous as it’s without doubt the nicest hot sauce in the world

Absolutely the best hot sauce I ever tasted. Not too hot, not too mild, not too sweet, not too sour, not too tomatoey, not too tasteless, not too anything. JUST right.

Virginia Gentleman Bourbon Chipotle Hot Sauce: Virginia Gentleman comes in a great package with a nice lable & tag that would make it a good gift.

My first impression upon opening it was its unpleasant vinegar-laden aroma, but fear not: you can’t taste the vinegar at all. Although I’m not a whiskey fan, I enjoyed the prominent earthy, woody taste that the bourbon added. I was surprised to detect a hint of sweetness since it contains no sugar or fruit… I guess it comes from the bourbon. The sauce isn’t as smoky-tasting as I expected (considering it contains chipotle flakes), but it is quite well-balanced.

Overall, I am very pleased. I think it would be a PERFECT replacement for A1 sauce, and could easily be poured over any meats.

Absolutely superb… I found Virginia Gentleman at a Firehouse Subs shop (which by the way are the best subs on earth) and immediately fell in love. It’s not too hot, which is good for those of you who don’t feel the need to melt your lips off your face! I can seriously eat this stuff by the bottle. Once you start, you won’t want to stop…. Trust me. If you haven’t tried it, now is the time to partake of some hot sauce heaven.

This is the most delicious hot sauce on the planet. The flavor is unmatched with just enough heat to compliment it. Not overpowering, like others. I always have this on hand.

Sounded great when advertised. Bought a bottle, and was pretty disappointed with the heat and flavor. Plus, it is loaded with sodium. I thought it was a hot sauce, but seems like more of a brush on thin BBQ sauce.

It’s a little mild, though it would probably be hot for many people (I like habaneros for their citrusy flavor, if that tells you anything). That said this is one of my favorite sauces. Tangy without being sour, which is a problem with too many hot sauces. Has a great complex balance of flavor, with the smoky chipotle taste dominating. Works great for grilling meats, marinating tofu, or as a dipping sauce.

I bought it at Epicure on Miami Beach after seeing it on this website. I was excited to try it. But honestly, eh… It was barely worthy of all my excitement.
